E3 is the pivotal moment in the video game world each year. We are treated to spectacle and wonderment as developers and publishers from around the world finally show their hand and give us a glimpse into the future. However, E3 is not all happiness and smiley faces. There are those games that, for one reason or another, are not appearing at E3. Sure, we will have great titles to see and play, but what about those titles you know won't be there but would make YOU faint from excitement if they actually were announced? I have a few in mind and I'd like to think you'd agree with them!
Let's begin! Then, I want to hear your opinion and choices!
This game has such a cult following and deserves to be reborn in some fashion. There were rumors that a Shenmue HD remake was finished and waiting to be released last year, yet we haven't heard anything since then. Obviously, that would make sense to test the waters and see the true interest in this series and if it warrants the long sought-after continuation and closure to this trilogy.
If they announced this game, I don't even know what I'd do.
Please, PLEASE make this dream a reality and bring back Ryo Hazuki!!
Let it be a remake of Fallout 3, give us a prequel or tie-in to the inevitable Fallout 4. ANYTHING.
Just imagine riding the train or laying in your bed exploring the Capital Wasteland, all while being serenaded by Billie Holiday! It would be absolutely incredible.
I know the Vita has not sold as well as Sony hoped and the support for the system isn't in full force as it should be (PS4 will hopefully fix that!) but games like this could sell consoles! The Vita needs titles like this that will give the under-appreciated console some true staying power.
One can dream, right?
Star Wars: Republic Commando 2
Those games will most likely be coming and will most likely be great, however, one game that I would LOVE to see would be Star Wars: Republic Commando 2. I know it's a long shot but the first game in the series was truly entertaining. Imagine if they brought this IP to the next generation and we had a Co-op tactical Star Wars FPS to waste away countless hours. I know I would sign up immediately.
You never know what could become of this new partnership with Star Wars and EA, but this game still sounds like a long-shot. Even still, If I could jump back into the armor of a clone trooper and save the universe, I'd be one very happy man.
Since Half-Life 2: Episode 2 released back in 2007, fans have been hanging on every word from the Valve and just waiting for that one moment, that one glimpse, of Gordon Freeman's next adventure.
Now, this game is coming, there is no doubt about that. It just needs to be included on the list because when this game is FINALLY announced, it will probably cause more excitement and joy than most gamers will be able to handle.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
When the PS3 was announced, Square Enix cruelly teased us with a tech demo of this incredible title and immediately fans from around the world collapsed. This had to mean the actual remake was coming, right?! Right??!
That was back in 2005, and we are still waiting. There has been no indication that we will ever see the remake to end all remakes, and it makes me truly sad. Out of all the games listed above, I think this would be the most incredible. Not only would that make my day, but imagine the outcries of joy you would hear from across the globe.
Square Enix, I beg of you, it's not to late to being us back to Midgar. I promise we won't let you down.
